  CivicNet is not an internet site.  It is a Network of Charleston's 
non-commercial websites allied to facilitate public access to public information.

Network members are official city sites, cultural events sites, parks, museums, government info pages, schools, hospitals, and so on.  The maze of internet sites is made transparent - you can find what you are looking for, and find your way back.  

               Web pages have no impact if they can't be found. 
   
  Internet users often find local websites only by chance when relying on search engines.  CivicNet assures that web pages offering specific services in specific areas of Charleston are now quickly accessible.
